On June 12, the University of Graz organized an event to celebrate the 25th anniversary of its Coordination Centre for Gender Studies and Equal Opportunities. The event featured two lectures which addressed, from different perspectives, the issues of gender in modern-world academia. Kathrin Zippel (Northeastern University) explored "Paradoxes in Gendered Transformations in Higher Education" from a comparative point of view, while Ronald L. Jackson II (University of Cincinnati) discussed the intersections between masculinity and race in his talk "Consume, Commodify, Repeat: Patterns of Scripting Black Masculine Bodies in Popular Culture."

Team MASCAGE Austria presented a project poster sketching the major goals and methodology of the MASCAGE project.
