Masculinities in Transcultural Spaces: Another Story of Homosexuality and Masculinity in The Banquet Wedding

On March 8th at 10.30 am you can attend a guest talk by Dr. Yumin Zhang (Zhongnan University) titled Masculinities in Transcultural Spaces: Another Story of Homosexuality and Masculinity in The Banquet Wedding. It is organized by the Center for Inter-American Studies at Graz University.

Yumin Zhang is a Researcher and assistant professor in the School of Journalism and Culture Communications at Zhongnan University of Economics of Law. She
received her PhD in American studies from Humboldt University of Berlin. Her fields of interest include comparative literature and culture (Chinese, American and German) and gender poetics. She is the author of the monography Masculinities in Transcultural Spaces— Negotiating of Masculinities in Ang Lee’s Films (2017) and the edited collection Creative Writing Course (2022).

MA in Mascuinity Studies presented at MenEngage Ubuntu Symposium

Last week, José María Armengol presented the newly created MA in Masculinity Studies to be launched this year at Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha at the MenEngage Ubuntu Symposium, among other interesting proposals and models related to formation in the study of masculinities.

You can now watch the symposium here (professor Armengol's intervention from timestamp 34:40 to 45:10).

To access subtitles in YouTube, click on the “Settings” icon, select “Subtitles/CC,” and then click “Auto Translate.” A list of languages you can translate into will be displayed.
